I visited a small newly formed wetland area today, not expecting to see much as it's not fully established yet.
So was delighted to see this beauty on the edges of the pond.
I haven't seen one before so I have high hopes this place is a success.

Finally defrosted the macro lens and went in search of bugs and beasties. Didn't find much but came across this lovely male Orange Tip that had settled on some Speedwell.
