I had a window of opportunity to visit Burr Oak State Park over the weekend. It was the first time I had been back since I early childhood. It is amazing how a fond memory will come rushing back to you. I didn't really remember anything about Burr Oak State Park until I looked at the indoor pool. Then that gave me a great feeling because all of a sudden I remembered my dad helping me try to learn to swim and dive.
This is a view of Burr Oak Lake from the lodge balcony. The sun was blazing through the windows so brightly that it was hard to look out. So, I went outside to take in the view. The reflection of the sun was terrific, so I took a couple of shots.
I've posted two versions of both sun shots so I have a good comparison between the "straight off the iPhone version", as opposed to the editing I did in the Flickr app. I also used the Google Snapseed app to remove a couple of distracting sun spots. I downloaded the app based on a review I read. It is nice to have the availability to edit on the phone when needed.
