My first serious attempt at photographing the Milky Way near Tucson, Arizona in the desert. There is some light pollution from a nearby town. The streak is a meteor that i didn't notice. I used a Rokinon f/2.8 14mm wide angle that I bought for astrophotography (much less expensive than an equivalent Nikon lens). No masterpiece but overall I am quite happy with the photo. A 21 second time exposure with an ISO of 8000.

"Alberto Giacometti A Line Through Time" Exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery summer 2019. This is must see. Giacometti lived 1901-1966 with his primary studio in Paris.

The post-war era in Europe lead to an overwhelmingly existential crisis embodied in the feeling of fragility, isolation and alienation in the works of artists like Giacometti.

I had to use my cell phone there...no regular cameras permitted.

I had this recurrent dream as a child that was so real I can still see it in my mind yet have never come close to capturing it in a photograph. I try. The strange deep forest in my dream was both blue and green, light and dark, familiar and alien, with strange music........is it cryptomnesia?........ or is it real?
