Sugar Lake is east of Vernon, British Columbia. My father's family had a cottage there in the 1920's. As a boy he loved that place and used to hunt and fish there. Fortunately the lake is isolated and not ruined by housing. It does have a few campsites but likely has not changed much during the last 100 years. My brother and I had some of Dad's ashes from his death in 2009 which we recycled back in the the lake. He would have been happy about that. When his ashes went into the water lots of rainbow trout fry came up for a nibble creating multiple small circular ripples in the water.
