Last night at sunset.

As shot, slight crop. So vibrant! Grown to the tip of the stems, now.

Thanks for looking. I could hear hummingbird wings whirring about my head. I left.

A friend prefers this version I fiddled with last night after buying an app called Mextures for my iOS devices. The app lets one do light leaks and gradients on different layers. For $1.99 US.

Why not reduce a 138MB RAW photo taken with tripod and a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and a teleconverter? Virtual head slap ;) Gee, and I see exif data. Does this change everything?

Thanks for looking ;)

After we moved in last summer, we added these vibrant golden Crocosmia to the back area. I seldom tire of looking at them in all stages.

Thanks for looking; comments unnecessary. I hope it brings you a moment of peace during strange times and weird political statements, at least here in the US, as it does me. Your photos help, as well. Thank you.

This wee female Rufous Hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus) was the first to discover the Crocosmia in the front of the house last night.

Thanks for looking.

Wanted to desaturate this, but the late sun drew me to these budding crocosmia in the first place against the shaded new house paint. Our "staycation". *

"Crocosmia is a small genus of flowering plants in the iris family, Iridaceae. It is native to the grasslands of southern and eastern Africa, ranging from South Africa to Sudan. One species is endemic to Madagascar." Wikipedia

Thanks for looking! And thank you Africa for this remarkable plant!

*We did not paint the house; professionals did.
