Also inspired by “Macro Mondays” and “My Daily Routine”. I'm grateful to the group admin, Janet Towbin, for mentioning Brain Pickings, "a subjective lens on what matters in the world and why."

I'd lost touch with the website, and I feel delighted to find it now. I didn't enter this, because it might not look like enough of a macro to enter. I reshot another macro.

Thank you for reminding me of the site, Janet, and thank you, anyone, for looking and commenting.

Inspired by the backlight theme for Macro Monday, these are tiny seeds shot early into the foggy low sun. Rained last night, and might rain tomorrow. Looks better viewed larger, I think. I wonder how many pause to enlarge a photo?

Seeds from heather, i think. Less than 10mm/~.4 inch
Nikon D810, Nikkor 105mm f/2.8
1/640 sec; f/5.6; ISO 250
Manual exposure, wet elbow tripod

Many thanks for your comments this past several weeks. We near the end of the election; what lies ahead? And thanks to the Flickr people for this site and the encouragement it offers.

Thank you for your previous comments. I hadn't planned to post anything, but felt inspired by Macro Monday's "Edge" theme today. Surely still feel edgy!

This is a long section of 'wallboard cap molding' from which one can hang framed art without punching extra holes in wood or wallboard.

The right side is 19.05mm in height. I bounced an SB800 speedlight against a semi-reflective warm surface. Balanced the molding on two glass salt and pepper shakers, hence a few bokeh balls.

Nikon D810, Nikkor 105mm f/2.8
1/250 sec; f/3.5; ISO 100
Manual exposure, tripod, SB800 speedlight

Thanks for your comments. I read them all gratefully.

Would this look edgier in B&W?

Moving can become expensive! Inspired by Macro Monday's theme "Handle with Care", I captured a very real recent cost using my old, but well-loved Waterman rollerball pen.

Also, thanks to last week's theme to test the sweet spot of a lens, I used an aperture of f/9 rather than my usual f/2.8 or f/3.8.

Nikon D810, Nikkor 105mm f/2.8
1/25 sec; f/9; ISO 100
manual exposure, tripod, natural window light protected by new window treatment, as a decorator calls it.

Thanks for looking and for your fun comments yesterday on my bee!
