These poor tulips have not much longer to thrive. Somehow they bloomed in spite of cool temperatures and rain and wind. I donned rain gear and went outside, cradling my spouse's macro lens. I dropped that 200mm lens several years ago, and sent it to Nikon for rather costly repairs. Could almost have purchased a new lens rather than repair.

But I do like the lens, and have the owner’s approval ;-)) Had his approval. I don’t want to push my luck.

An unusual shot facing the house without backlight. Or sunlight. About as shot. Monopod.

Love spring aspen leaves. Especially when it is raining.

NB. We moved here for the Pacific coast's promise of rain...but I know not everyone loves rain.

Comments not needed.

A White-crowned Sparrow appeared while I had fun taking shots of rain and aspen leaves.

I enjoyed seeing these birds as fledglings when we lived in Alaska. Now, living in the Lower 48, I can see them as adults.

Slight crop, only. Thanks for looking. Back shortly.

The theme of Earth Day is Planet v. Plastics. We must reduce use of plastics.

For Earth Day 2024, I wrapped a small grape in plastic or "cling wrap" and placed it on a clear piece of plastic. The light must have illuminated the base and turned it green, too.

Would have liked to wrap a NASA earth in plastic, but I'm not skilled enough to do that. But the theme of Earth Day is Planet v. Plastics. We must reduce use of plastics.
