After snow, rain, fog, rain, fog...you know how that goes, we have had moments of sun. Several Northern Flickers adapted to this crushed sunflower feeder in unique ways, one by hanging from the perch. As this male flicker began to move into position, I took a series of those beautiful (to me) vibrant wings. That's the tail end of a Dark-eyed Junco at the other side of the feeder. These crushed sunflowers are a big hit.

I adore watching these inventive woodpeckers. No need to comment. I've refrained from showing a birdfeeder until now, I think, but here 'tis.
