Causeway to Antelope Island State Park, Utah

Antelope Island State Park was established in 1981 as part of the Utah State Parks System. The island is accessible via a 7-mile causeway from Syracuse in Davis County.

Causeway History:
Like a ribbon of asphalt, gravel, and rock the causeway to Antelope Island slices across the mineral-laden Great Salt Lake.
This wide, smooth highway is taken for granted. But the fickle Great Salt Lake has not always permitted the causeway to reside there -- it has been washed out in the past and could suffer the same fate in the future.
