We left our room at 4:00 a.m. as we had been informed that it is usually very crowded by sunrise and I wanted to make sure that I got a worthwhile shot. It was a cold 30 degree morning with a light wind at 4:45 a.m. when we arrived. To my surprise, we were the very first ones to show up. I sat and enjoyed the moments of peace before a few others started to show up. The wind completely died down by the time the sun started to hit the peaks. This scene defines the word tranquility for me. What a place to visit and it was even more special considering so few people were there.
