"For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14) What a wondrous thought that every corner of the planet will be covered with His glory! O how we long for this day when even the presence of sin and evil will be banished from existence and His perfect Kingdom will reign over all and there will be no more tears, no more sorrow, and no more pain. The pains we know now will become a distant and faded memory.

The beauty and infinite majestic creativity of God is without rival! No one else could tell the sun when to rise. No one else could paint the skies in a beautiful array of colors that would leave those who beheld it awestruck. No one tells the waves where to crash. No one else sets a boundary for the waters so that it cannot go past. No one else is like the Lord our God! He is without rival, He has no equal, no one can challenge Him that He cannot defeat! He is victorious and He is an all consuming fire! He is a jealous God and no one can thwart His purposes!

After reading the Prodigal story in Luke 15, I realized how much I am the son that ran away and squandered the father's wealth. In the many times I have sinned in outright rebellion towards God, it is literally me wasting the generous gift of life that He paid for with His own life. But, then somehow I am the recipient of His scandalous love and compassion. He reminds me of His faithfulness and love often times through beautiful reminders such as this one. "O Father, full of mercy and compassion, may I not ever again waste the riches You have so generously given to me, may I live a life of whole hearted devotion unto You! Forgive me of all the times that I have failed to do that. O Father, You are gracious and may my hope only be found in You!"

May You O Lord receive the glory that Your Name is due! Lord may we praise You and give You the glory that You deserve! The skies declare Your glory and every wave You know when it washes ashore. Nothing escapes Your notice, not even the smallest detail. You have made the beauty that I get to behold, may I take none of the credit, but may I cry out, "God be glorified, to Him be all glory!"
