A 4:00am Milky Way core rises over Zion National Park. That's The Watchman on the right and Bridge Mountain on the left—both lit with light pollution from the sleepy little town of Springdale (population 529), less than a mile right of the camera's view.

I took this 6-image panorama one week ago, just before Zion was closed for COVID-19 safety reasons. There was virtually no one in the park this night. The campground (just below the core) only had a couple of campers in it, so there was very little light pollution, except for the "night light" coming from Springdale.

TECHNIQUE & EXIF: Panorama stitch of 6 single exposures • Canon 6D astro-modified + 24mm f/1.4 • 6 X f/2.8, 15 sec, ISO 6400 • stitched with Photoshop.
