The photograph was donated by Mairtin O'Miodhachain (Meehan) whose mother Una Cleary (maiden name) taught in the school from the year of "An Sneachta Mor" (The Big Snow) 1947 to 1954. She got married in 1954 and had to retire due to the marriage ban imposed on married women at the time. This ban was finally lifted in 1959.
