Pestvogel - Bohemian Waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus).
A shame there have been none locally these last few years.

This scenario would have been quite possible, the location is Dublin, on the road which leads from city to the small fishing port of Howth. Electric trams operated along this road from about 1875, until, because of competition from motor cars and busses, the service became uneconomical and the last tram ran in July 1949. The Morris Minor is a British built family car that made its debut at Earls Court Motor Show, London, on 20 September 1948, this model with its two piece front windscreen and raised headlight positioning dates from 1949. Yes the actual date of the background photograph is about 1920, but this streetscape will have changed little by 1949. I rest my case.
