Inspired by a quote from William Blake's poem, which has the same title as the photo:

"I walked abroad on a snowy day
I asked the soft snow with me to play ... "

Photographed in response to this week's Crazy Tuesday theme prompt: "Soft."

Someone posted that this image just looks soft but isn't really (and the requirement of the theme prompt was no soft light, that the subject actually had to be soft, so I wanted to clarify. Snow feels soft to me. I can fall back comfortably into a deep bank of new-fallen snow, but I can't fall back onto the bare ground without hurting myself. Especially for people who live in parts of the world where you are not so familiar with snow, I thought it was important to clarify.

Photographed in response to this week's Saturday Self-Challenge: "Hearts!"

I used a heart shaped filter over a 55mm prime lens set on manual and focused on infinity to take a picture of the light curtain I hung in the big picture window in our living room for Christmas and haven't taken down yet. Just felt like extending the season of lights this year.

(As with all my work, constructive critique is welcome, and faves are appreciated.)
