Photographed in response to this week's Saturday Self-Challenge: SOOC (Straight Out of Camera). No processing allowed, and as an added bonus challenge the image is to be taken while the photographer is seated. In this case, I was seated on a front-porch ste watching rainclouds rolling in. Because I forgot to switch the camera settings from RAW, I did open the image in Photoshop, but just to convert to a format that could be uploaded to Flickr. (As with all my work, constructive critique is welcome, and faves are appreciated.)

I actually cut these fading roses to try to create a photograph for another group's theme, but that shot didn't pan out. Version 1 of this image was photographed in response to this week's Saturday Self-Challenge: "Create a shot to go with some music." After posting, someone suggested adding some color to the background, so I added an antique paper texture like one might find in a book of antique botanical illustrations.
