Photographed in response to this week's Flickr Friday theme: "90Degrees." What you see is an optical illusion based on the manipulation of squares (and of course squares are geometric figures with four 90-degree angles) overlaid on a photo I took of today's sky. So this is also part of my attempt to photograph the sky every day for a year. (As with all my work, constructive critique is welcome, and faves are appreciated.)

Day 203/366 of my attempt to photograph the sky every day for a year. In the foreground is a construction site I passed on my walk today. Photographed in response to this week's Flickr Friday theme: "VanishingPoint." This is one of the pylons supporting the roof of the Bartle Hall Convention Center in Kansas City. The architecture is like a cable bridge supporting the ceiling, so that the convention floor has a large open space with few columns inside. At the top of the pylon is a "Sky Station" sculpture designed by artist R.M. Fischer inspired by the 1930s Art Deco chandelier and decorative design elements throughout Municipal Auditorium, which is adjacent to Bartle Hall.
