In Kansas City, Occupy KC has established itself in Memorial Hill Park across the street from the Kansas City Federal Reserve building. The shipping containers are actually a public art installation created by John Salvest. They are stacked in such a way as to spell IOU on the side facing the federal reserve and USA on the other side. The other, more traditional sculpture (the statue of the soldier with his rifle) is a Philippine-American War Memorial.
