Entered onto the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-VXQ 15 May 2003. Registered to Qantas Airways Ltd, Sydney. First flown as VH-VXQ 29 May 2003, Powered by CFM International CFM56-7B26 engines and fitted with winglets.
The aircraft was named ‘Redland’. This was the 138th Boeing airliner delivered new to Qantas Airways. .It was the 20th Boeing 737 delivered new to Qantas. Operated its last service in the standard livery Sydney - Melbourne (Tullamarine) as QF447 30 October 2015.
This aircraft was repainted into the original Qantas Boeing 707 1959 livery as their second 'Retro-jet' 15 November 2015. The repaint was commissioned to celebrate the Qantas 95th Anniversary. The aircraft was then renamed 'Retro Roo II'.
