Remains of the Bayshore Roundhouse, south of San Francisco, California.
This facility was built and operated by the Southern Pacific Railroad, and was in service from 1911 to 1958. Much of the roundhouse was destroyed by a fire in 2001.
The roundhouse itself is private property that is surrounded by a fence, but it's obvious that the fence is ineffective at keeping many people out. However, my friend and I stayed outside of it when we visited. I took these photos through holes in the fence made by trespassers and by placing my camera between the strands of barbed wire atop the chain link fence.
