Fairchild-Republic A-10A "Warthog," also designated "Thunderbolt II," a name that I don't think anyone actually uses.
I believe that this A-10A and its pilot are assigned to forward air controller missions, and that the aircraft (s/n 80-0250) has been redesigned as an OA-10A.
