A Lockheed HC-130P Hercules is trailed by a Sikorsky HH-3E "Jolly Green Giant" helicopter during an air show at NAS Moffett Field in May 1982. The MC-130P has aerial refueling hose pods on outboard stations beneath the wing, and the HH-3E has an aerial refueling probe that is clearly visible.
These aircraft were operated by the 129th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Group of the California Air National Guard. The 129th ARRG is now the 129th Rescue Wing, operating MC-130P transport/tankers and HH-60G helicopters.

N703NA, the second of two experimental XV-15 tilt-rotor aircraft built by Bell for NASA, photographed at NAS Moffett Field in May 1982.
This aircraft was used in research that supported the development of the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft. It is now in the collection of the National Air & Space Museum at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
