CDF S-2 air tanker #93 maneuvering toward a fire in Almaden Quicksilver County Park, July 1985. CDF is now CalFire, and that agency operates an S-2T turboprop-coversion Tracker #93. I do not know if the current (2014) tanker #93 is this same aircraft.

I photographed this CDF (now CalFire) S-2 Tracker air tanker at the Watsonville Fly-In in May, 1981.
Several aircraft have been designated tanker #94 over the years. To the best of my knowledge, this aircraft was a US Navy S-2A (S2F-1), BuNo 133204, before it was converted and registered as N446DF.
