Last of a series of three pictures that I took while my friend Mitch landed a Cessna 172 at Reid-Hillview Airport (RHV) in San Jose, California. This flight occurred in October 1982.
Note the Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI) lights on the left side of the runway, The combination of the near bar being white and the far bar being red indicates that Mitch was maintaining the correct glide path.
At this point we're passing over the shopping mall, and very close to landing on runway 31L.

Cessna 172 N65922 parked at Nut Tree Airport (KVCB), Vacaville, California. My friend Alan was the pilot on this day in August 1983, when we flew between San Jose and Vacaville. We had lunch at the old Nut Tree restaurant, and I took aerial photographs using both conventional slide film and Kodak Infrared Ektachrome that day.
