In 1963, Henry Ford II tried to buy Ferrari. Not just a Ferrari, but the entire company. Enzo Ferrari, in typical Enzo Ferrari fashion, told him to get lost. Returning from Italy, Henry issued a company-wide edict: “Kick Ferraris ass.” Ford Motor Company dedicated vast resources to humiliating Ferrari on the most visible world stage there is: the 24 hours of LeMans. Early efforts were not successful, as Ferrari finished 1-2-3 in 1964 and 1965, so Ford hired the legendary Carroll Shelby to fine tune the GT40 racecar (and by “fine tune” I mean “install a giant 500-horsepower 427 cubic inch V8 from the Cobra”). The effort was a resounding success, with Ford GT40s winning LeMans an unprecedented four times in 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of that first victory, Ford rolled out the 2006 Ford GT “Heritage” edition which commemorates the JW Automotive/American Gulf Oil-sponsored Le Mans-winning Ford GT racer (and added a tidy $13,000 to the cars bottom line). The Heritage Blue and Epic Orange paint scheme recalls those Gulf Oil-sponsored Ford GT40s of the ’60s, and looks unique on the streets today. Only 343 units were produced under production code GL PO, making this 2006 GT Heritage the one to own for posterity. Not only is the Ford GT an homage to a great chapter in racing history, but for the true fan, the only one to own is one wearing Gulf livery. In addition, this one is equipped with every single option available in 2006 and has been driven just 409 miles since new. For all intents and purposes, this car can be considered a new vehicle.

A coupe model called the GTS was introduced in 1996. Dubbed "double bubble", the roof featured slightly raised sections above each seat to accommodate usage of helmets, a throwback to its intended purpose. Vipers can be seen participating often in drag racing and road racing. The GTS, like its predecessor, was chosen as the pace car for the 1996 Indianapolis 500.
Despite its similar outward appearance, the car was distinct enough to be considered a new generation model.[citation needed] Extensive modifications included a reworked engine with higher power and less weight, an almost completely redesigned chassis that was made 60 lb lighter and 25% stiffer in torsional rigidity through meticulous computer analysis, a thoroughly redesigned suspension, and reduced braking distances; the 1996 to 2002 Viper GTS had a lighter (approximately 650 lb) 450 bhp engine, which could complete the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds, 0.3 seconds and 16 mph faster than its predecessor, and increased top speed by 11 mph or so.

A quality re-creation of the original that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions in the grueling Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966. In developing the exhilarating GT40 continuation, engineers went to great lengths to ensure authenticity. So authentic, that we can legally use the name “GT40”. The GT40 also carries the GT40/P chassis number and is eligible for the official GT40 registry.
The GT40 continuation is built to exacting standards - in fact over two thirds of the rolling chassis's parts are interchangeable with that of an original car, including the 'monocoque" style chassis.
The Superformance GT40 also boasts of a pressed steel roof and beautifully finished body. Current models offered are the MKI and MKII which are available in right and left hand drive.
Add your choice of power (big or small block ) with a ZF/RBT transaxle, and prepare yourself for extreme satisfaction and the ultimate in styling.

The original Bronco was an ORV (Off-Road Vehicle), intended to compete primarily with Jeep CJ models and the International Harvester Scout. The Bronco's small size riding on a 92-inch wheelbase made it popular for off-roading and some other uses, but impractical for such things as towing.
The idea behind the Bronco began with Ford product manager Donald N. Frey, who also conceived of the Ford Mustang; and similarly, Lee Iacocca pushed the idea through into production. In many ways, the Bronco was a more original concept than the Mustang; whereas the Mustang was based upon the Ford Falcon, the Bronco had a frame, suspension, and body that were not shared with any other vehicle.
The Lotus Evora is based on the first all-new vehicle platform from Lotus Cars since the introduction of the Lotus Elise in 1995 (the Exige, introduced in 2000, and the 2006 Europa S are both derivatives of the Elise. Evora is the first vehicle of three vehicles to be built on the same platform; the remaining two vehicles will be on sale by 2011
The car was reviewed by presenter Jeremy Clarkson on the British automotive television show Top Gear. The review was positive overall. Clarkson considered the rear seats to have not enough legroom, the interior felt tiny, and the satellite navigation was sub-optimal. On the upside he was very happy with the performance, handling and comfort. He was extremely impressed with the ride comfort and described the car as "the only car I've ever driven, ever, which is a killer attack dog and an old sofa".
