After 4 long years I finally returned to Africa. It felt so wonderful to be back out there!! Kenya this time and to be precise the Maasai Mara.
This turned out to be a lion trip as they were all over the place so what better to start off with than that of one of the glorious Topi pride lionesses!
Every morning went we went out one of the first things we tried to locate was this magnificent pride. When all are together, the males and the smaller cubs, this pride counts no less than almost 30 lions! You can imagine the amount of food a pride of that needs and the lionesses are incredible huntresses.
Here is one of those ladies, scanning the savannah at the first light of the morning.
