See it on black...thanks :)

I though to myself while I was choosing photos for today, another bee shot? and I said to myself, remember how much effort you put into it, and I said, yes!!

I enjoy the most nature photography, also city life, and love working with techniques like solarisation. Also, I feel that black and white, and sepia are very special too!

EXPLORE:

Also, I’m very proud to say that twenty four of my photos made it to Explore, many are still on, one started at 26 (this one) and one is still at number 52 of the photos of the day that was Explored! Thank you all! If you’d like to see them, please go to my Explore set.

TO MY FRIENDS:

Flickr has giving me opportunity to meet a group of wonderful people. Thanks for making me feel so proud of what I do and love. You know who you are…

ABOUT GROUPS:

I would gladly submit my photos to the groups that would allow me to see their pages and be part of them. Please, don’t invite me to groups that will show my work once, and by invitation. I rather be part of a group that will allow me to choose my own material, and decide what to put and when. Remember, we are artists, and very temperamental ;)

MY THANKS:

Thanks for coming and for viewing my photos. I appreciate all comments, so leave one, if you want to.

Have great day, and enjoy the ride!

Martha.

See it better, tap on it… This is a hand held photo.

Is it just me, or this one doesn't look too happy having me this close. Suddenly I felt like a nature paparazzi! ;) Have a great day, everyone!!!

I do must of all nature photography, and from time to time city life. I enjoy trying new techniques, and transforming some of my photos into something different and ( I think) artistic.

EXPLORE:

Also, I’m very proud to say that thirty of my photos made it to Explore, many are still on, three of them at 25, 14 and 52, still! If you’d like to see them, please go to my Explore set.

Dragonflies are amazing because of their iridescent wings, their fantastic way they position themselves in very artistic poses, always choosing the top of vegetation, their incredible mating ritual, but also their incredible faces. So tiny, and yet sometimes we can see them smile...

My photography is mostly nature. I enjoy macro photography a lot, but it is difficult to decide what a I like the most about this art.

Hey, its OK, I just want to see you a little closer...

Blue Fronted Dancer
(Argia Apicalis)
1 1/4-1 5/8 (33-40mm)
Wingspan 1 5/8-2 (42-52mm)

Range: Central and eastern United States.

Very active during summer, and they are found near streams, ponds and riverbanks.

Like other species in the Argia, these damselflies perform a bouncing fly as if they were dancing over plants and water, hence the common name “dancer”

They perch on low vegetation, on boulders, logs and open ground.

Males will defend territory up to 6’6” (2m) in diameter against other males, including the ones of other species.

Females alone or in tandem with their mate, lay they their eggs above the water on floating objects and vegetation.
