They come exactly when the weather turns cold, and we see them leave just when Spring is about to start. The juncos are medium-size sparrows, that love to hunt for food, but they can get addicted to your feeders, even though everybody assume that they eat only from the ground. I love seeing them perching on the evergreens after a snowy day, and what gives them away is their white feeders on their lower bodies. They color varies from dark gray to brown.
