Assignment: Sky.
The full spectrum of colors, textures and phenomenon the sky has to offer.
Clouds, sunsets, sunrises, rainbows, night shots, stars, crepuscular rays are all welcome.
Submit your quality sky shots, the sky should be the dominant subject of the photo.
Sky is never static. even on a plain blue, sunny day, it's doing something.
What i'd like people to contribute here are photos that try to capture the sky in its ever-changing, ever-amazing glory. something that caught your eye and made you take a photo.
Clouds, brilliant sunsets, sunrises, stars, the northern lights...anything that you've felt compelled to capture because what you saw at that moment resonated inside of you.
Restriction: Must have at least 50% Sky.
50% sky includes clouds.
What it took:
1) Thunderstorm.
2) Covered porch.
3) Set the camera up on a tripod in bulb mode with a remote trigger.
4) Sit there for a long time, take a bunch of long-exposure pictures.
5) Get a lot of black or white skies. (Enjoy the show anyway.)
6) Twiddle with exposure settings.
7) Eventually get an OK capture.
