You can certainly see why it is often given the name of the "house of bones" with the skeletal look of the stone work around this window overlooking Passeig de Gracia in L Eixample area of Barcelona.

Antoni Gaudi's famous Chimneys at this hallucinogenic masterpeice in Barcelona. The chimneys grace the roof terrace and whilst not as spectacular as his later chimneys up the road at La Pedrera, they are still spectacular even on an overcast day like this. They are covered by his broken ceramic peices (trencadis) technique which add to their sinuous form.

The roof of Casa Battlo was completed in 1910 and represents the legend of St George and the dragon. St George is the patron saint of this catalonian region and the ridge here is said to represent the dragons back! The cross and round tower is supposed to be the handle of St Georges sword plunged into the beast! The facade isa complex surface covered in mediterranean colured ceramics with balconies like masks and jaws of beasts. It is known to the locals as "casa del dragon".
