Hong Kong is locking down more than 150 residential buildings in the coronavirus-hit Yau Tsim Mong district, with over 1,700 police and other disciplinary officers enforcing the unprecedented move to contain a worrying outbreak in neighbourhoods filled with ageing, subdivided flats.
The most drastic measure yet in more than a year of pandemic control was expected to start early on Saturday morning, according to sources who had initially expected the lockdown to begin at midnight on Friday. （20210123 SCMP)
