I could enjoy the super rare event in Tokyo. It was clear and calm.

I followed the star field with the equatorial mount.

The moon was low in the east, when the eclipse began. The moon went up due to the rotation of Earth and drifted toward east northeast in the field of stars in Aries due to the revolution of Moon. Uranus was the brightest in the frame. Duration of the total lunar eclipse was long. Lunar occultation of Uranus was near the end of the total lunar eclipse. Tokyo was near the east limit of the event. Uranus came out from behind the moon, after the end of total lunar eclipse. Moon went up and got brighter than that at the beginning.

Moon looks reddish dark like salmon roe, ikra イクラ up in the sky while total lunar eclipse, and it has bluish part near the edge around the beginning and the end of total lunar eclipse. It is called as "Turquoise Fringe," which is said to be made by ozone layer of Earth.

Umbra, the shadow of Earth also drifted slowly toward west northwest during the eclipse due to the revolution of Earth, and it looks not strictly circular but skewed a bit in this perspective.

Next lunar occultation of planet (Neptune) during total lunar eclipse is in northern Pacific and Arctic Ocean area on December 21, 2037.
