In my dreams I think of such a place. To sit and watch the water flowing endlessly onwards and see the light reflecting across the deep pools as your mind stills and becomes one with your surroundings.

The Richtis gorge in Eastern Crete runs through a ravine of deep sided rocks formations. The twenty metre high waterfall is towards the end of the gorge were the river flows into the sea.

On a blustery day we hiked to the top of Yes Tor. Standing at 613 metres above sea level it is the second highest Cairn in Devon. The two large granite rocks seemed to create a natural window that looked out across the open moorland beyond. The sun played with the clouds creating shadows across the distant hills.
