A magical morning, one that had been highly anticipated. Luckily we arrived very early, because a Cloud Forest Pygmy Owl flew in and scared away the entire flock of males at the lek.

The bird looks and sounds just as strange as one might imagine. Nearly something out of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"!
