Towards the breakwater at Jenny's Point.

From Carnforth, head north, past Warton Crag towards Crag Foot. Cross the railway and head to Slack Wood. Turn left at the junction towards Hazelwood. Follow the narrow road to Lindeth Tower, past Jack Scout and down towards Jenny Brown’s Point.
Looking out across Warton Sands, the outgoing River Kent meets the incoming tides of Morecambe Bay.
The rippling waters beyond the breakwater hint at the beginning of the incoming tidal bore.

Within minutes the bore had begun its river wide trickle and headed inland from the sea.
By the time the tide had caught up with the advancing trickle, the incoming waters turned into a powerful surge that roared and forced its way through the railway bridge arches.
