I've cleary spent too long cooped up at home during the pandemic!
Now, even the subtlest of things, out in the natural world, seems amplified and utterly mesmorising as though seen for the very first time through my younger eyes.
As kids we played alongside the local brook, paddled in the shallow waters, hiding under the shade of the willows, hand-fishing for minnows and stickleback, digging for treasure in the sandy banks.
It's hard to grasp that it was half a century and more ago!
