Appreciating the Morning Sky
We watched a lot of sky together, Mum and I.
Sunsets and sunrises a plently.
I think perhaps it became her one true constant, especially given the constant anxieties of missing loved ones.
Some nights she'd love to just sit and watch the clouds forming, changing shape and rolling slowly by.
Some mornings, like this one I recall, the sky was enough, better than anything else to hand, something reassuringly ever-present.
Well, a nice sky and another cup of tea.
