First advent - I hope you are all well. I wish you a contemplative Advent. Try to protect you as much as possible from the hectic season.

Actually clouds are to be on everyone's lips. This fact gives me the inspiration to create a contest. Please have a look www.flickr.com/groups/ngproinvitation/discuss/72157623873...

During this hike we touch the cloud a few times. Inside it's foggy and cold and you feel the wish arise to reach the sun as soon as possible.

I spend a lot of time for postprocessing. The overexposured clouds lets me doubt that it's not worthy for do work on it. But I found a way to recover it with the Capture NX Raw converter. There is a possibility to adjust the exposure there. So I did three different exposures from one raw and blended it after.

From Malbun we have the choice of hiking up or taking the chairlift to the mountain station at Sareis. From there, the Fürstin-Gina-Weg path follows the ridge path to the Sareiserjoch, where it runs into the ascending route from the Nenzinger Himmel and the path becomes more challenging. From here it's uphill between alpine flowers and along small craggy paths to the highest point of the tour, Augstenberg, at 2,359 meters above sea level with a large cross on the peak and a glorious sweeping view. The following ridge path to Pfälzerhütte (hut) is challenging, sometimes steep and secured with wire ropes at exposed parts.

last summer this was one of my best session. It's a one hour motorbike ride to the top of the pass "Furkajoch". To drive be motorbike has beside the driving fun also the advantege to park the vehicle everywhere you want. Especially with the narrow mountain roads you could spare your nerve. My motivation here was to capture the sunrise. So I had to start early in the darkness. But I was some minutes to late the sun was rising, you could see it in the lower picture. Clouds gaves me the advantage to enjoy a further sunrise.

At this location I was fascinated on the round hill in foreground. To have such an element in the near is interesting for composition exercises. Because when you move some steps to the side, the view will change totally. This gives you the advantage to arrange the scene in a quick way.

Could you see the hiding Easter Bunny?

After a long spell of bad weather one sunny day shows up. But I wasn't motivated for taking pictures and I lose nearly the whole day on PC. In the afternoon the warm wind builds stunning cloud formations and I decide to go out to find a motive.

I found a sunset I will never forget. Despite to find the right view wasn't easy. First I did many shots with the sun shining on the left side of the house. But I wasn't confident if the trees on the right looks best. Than I found this track in snow and I forgot thinking. I like it how the track leads the view into the sunny part. And it leads along the trees to the house. The line is for me a mirror image of the bright line in sky.

this was the view 200m behind our B&B, an other morning without sunrise, but the heavy rain stops. Somehow the rain photography is tiring. Especially in combination with strong winds gives the drops on the front lens work. A lens wiper would certainly be an invention. Fortunately, there are also times rain breaks. This photo was taken at such a moment. I was a little out of breath, which had the mood to be exploited and I saw the two boulders in the race. The two boulders I saw as a perfect foreground. The design was intuitive, because I had little time. I hope I was able to catch the soft light on the meadow, also a brightening showed up in the valley between the hills.
