While on a family vacation / photo tour up along the Causeway Coast in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, I found myself down at the Giants Causeway in that magical time period between the Twilight sky of the night before and the Twilight sky of new day dawning with some time to spare before my planned sunrise shoot over at Portmoon.....I said I would take a selfie :-).

This image was captured a little while after sunset down at the Giants Causeway which is located in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and features the ever impressive Basalt Rock Columns.

Legend has it that the basalt rock columns are the remains of a causeway built by the Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill who was challenged to a fight by the Scottish giant Benandonner. Fionn accepted the challenge and built the causeway across the North Channel so that the two giants could meet.

This black and white panoramic image consists of 9 individual vertical exposures that were shot using a Canon 6D and Canon 16-35mm ƒ/4 lens which were then processed and stitched together in Adobe Lightroom.

Monochrome conversion was then performed using the NiK Silver Efex Pro plugin for Lightroom.

This shot features the impressive remains of Dunluce Castle which is located the edge of a cliff along the Causeway Coastal route in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

As it was in the middle of a summers day when I was shooting this scene, I used the NiSi V5 Pro Holder along with the NiSi V5 Pro Polarizer and a NiSi 5 Stop Graduated ND filter in order to control the dynamic range within the scene.
