Run Forest, Run! Well, this is certainly not an “off the grid” spot, lol, but it is eye catching and beautiful. Makes you want you just drop everything and run across the country, just ask Forest. Anyway, here’s my attempt to catch this fantastic spot along with the Milky Way. There was a lot lot smoke in the air so the horizon is somewhat unclear, but you take what you can get!
I've never had much luck at Botallack. I plant my tripod where everyone else does (near boulder in the just off the centre of frame) - but I never seem to get the waves or a "decent sky."
This occasion was no different. I took a few photos near the boulder (which I may post later). After the sun had set I began to head back along that precarious-looking ridge. I turned and noticed a hint of colour in the sky!
I framed up this composition. I had tried it before, but previous attempts were lacking an interesting sky. I'm sure I'm not the first person to have shot this particular composition of the well-photographed scene - but I was pleased to come away with something slightly different from the norm - even if the norm was what I spent most of the evening trying to shoot!
