The image of the moon on the left was taken on 3/17/24 and the one on the right 4/21/24. Besides being at different phases if you examine them closely you'll see the quality is dramatically different even though they were both taken with a Seestar S50. The image on the left is a jpeg created by the Seestar app. The image on the right is a distillation of images from a 2 minute raw Avi movie. The details are significantly clearer, the textures more representative.
Astrophotography is a whole different world with its own tips and tricks for getting good pictures different from traditional photography, although some techniques transfer.
