Happy Independence Day! (weekend) Jasper flew the colors in grand fashion this morning.

When planning this shot, my wife was dubious, "He's never going to run with that flag". How wrong she was. He ran around the green space like a wild dog in a show of freedom and patriotism. (He was probably just glad I didn't put a hat on him again this year.)

Even at 10.5 years old, Jasper still has a lot of game left in him. When I asked him what he wanted to do for a photoshoot this week, he said, "Action. Definitely action". So to the back yard with our frisbee tosser, Jean (my wife). Lot's of fun. Lots of flying. Many near collisions with the photographer (me).

This paragraph is apropos of nothing. I was walking Jasper early this morning, at about 5:30AM - a couple hours before sunrise. I see this light coming down the street. I think it's a motorcycle at first, but as it nears, it becomes apparent that it's a bicycle. I hear from the dark, teenaged girl riding that bike call out, "I like your dog!!" A girl calling out that she likes my dog isn't that strange. That seems to be what young girls yell out when they see Jasper. I hear it often. But what was this girl doing riding her bike at 5:30AM in the dark? And how could she even see Jasper to know that she "liked" him. Like I said, this paragraph is apropos of nothing. It just seemed weird to me.

Jasper just got that big contract so he's been going into work quite a bit. He's got an office in downtown Gilbert, AZ. Jasper is still a bit old fashioned with his tie, fedora and old time briefcase, but he thinks it makes him look professional. Indeed. I'd give that dog a big contract.

Jasper has been up there dogfighting, protecting our skies from those who would do evil. He's an ace pilot to be sure. Even so, he took a few bullets to his trusty flying machine. So, Snoopy is not the only one that can pilot a doghouse!

We decided to go to the green space for a little fun while it was still relatively cool. We haven't played with BOB (Big Orange Ball) in a while so we had a lot of fun. BOB is a Chuckit, one of the most durable toys on the planet.
