I shot this image of the Milky Way setting literally 5 steps from my accomodation at Orama Oasis on Great Barrier Island in New Zealand. It's so dark there, especially when the generators stop going around 10.30pm each night. The red glow you can see is airglow, and the bright star in the middle of frame is actually the planet Jupiter.
