There I was... set up for landscape photography in one shot mode when this beautiful Osprey decided to hunt for fish…. So I had to quickly (feverishly) change all my settings and lens..! Before I could get a few shots off…. Just one of those happy one off days :)

Not so happy for the hapless flounder who probably satisfied a hungry brood….

The heat we have had gave some beautiful light early in the morning...here the sun just burned off some of the haze and managed to pick out details here and there...reminded me of a painting I had seen somewhere...!

I began in a forest until I was 60 years old...
Cut down by humans then placed in waters cold....
I held up their buildings...Tall and strong was I...
Now my roots are embedded in sand....my head only a metre high...
I now support new life... and am embraced by cold icy winds and now.... all I can do is sigh....!
