Centennial Olympic Park. Atlanta. I had not been to this downtown park since the pandemic but returned for a few visits this fall. It has the effect of concentrating migrants that are caught in the city, some of whom eventually make their way to the park. This is a late date for this species. It is such a beautiful bird and I am always struck by the dramatic change in beak color from spring to fall. In the spring the beak is black and in the fall it becomes a beautiful pinkish color.

Georgia Swamp. The flowers were growing wild in that location. It was my second trip this week to that area taking different clients for their lifer Swa1ns0n's Warbler. This was a bonus from yesterday's trip. Some Prothonotary warblers have some orange tones as does this one. Lighting and post-processing tend to show that more or less.

Prothonotary Warbler from 6/2022.
I've been away from Flickr due to a temporary work assignment I took on during December which required a substantial number of hours. Wishing all my contacts/friends a wonderful holiday season.

Singing from the dark swamp this bright eye-catching warbler is also known as the Swamp Canary. Happy Easter!
This image was not cropped. The eye-tracking on the R5 allows one to move the bird in the frame while shooting to adjust the composition.

An image of a songbird perched on a blooming redbud shouts out the beauty of Spring to many of us! The redbud bloom is not only beautiful but the bloom is small enough whether opened or closed to not obscure small birds such as warblers when they land on a redbud perch. So if available it is one of the easiest and most suitable flowery perches for small early Spring songbirds like warblers.
