I've been AWOL from Flickr for the last several weeks. Things have been very busy but I've been out shooting fall migrants, mostly warblers, since the end of July! I have lots of neat stuff to share and hope to catch up on Flickr over the next week!

Just returned from my Michigan trip a few days ago. Spent 4 and a half days working some favorite and well familiar locations in the lower peninsula before heading up to the upper peninsula for another 4 days. The redbuds have been done blooming here in Georgia since early April this year and it was nice to find them in bloom in the lower peninsula of Michigan some 6 weeks later. It will take me a while to go through all the images from the trip.

Georgia. How can you best tell a Spring from a Fall GWWA when looking at an image? In absence of fall foliage it would be the beak of the bird which lightens considerably from a Spring black.
