Liffey Falls | TAS | Australia

Liffey Falls - surely a must-do for any landscape photographer visiting Tasmania. I had shot these falls for a good hour until finally I decided to rest on the viewing platform and dry my feet out. I noticed the light having shifted to illuminate this tree. Although its leaves were still green, the rich warm sunlight turned it gold, and fortunately it was soft enough to not blow the light right out, and this is all captured in one frame. I had to put my camera and tripod right out past the platform to get separation between the tree and the falls, and this was about as far out as I was willing to risk it!

I never really took much notice of that white rock up the top, but it looks like some sort of stone carving of an animal.
