I couldn't believe my luck when this cat decided to climb up this small snag and sit for a better view of the area. Amazingly some of the afternoon light was still shining through the trees and lit up this beauty for a few moments.

I had an amazingly lucky encounter yesterday while out walking in the woods. I noticed an odd sound out in the distance and while slowly approaching saw these two tiny cubs up in this spruce! Mom was probably off foraging somewhere nearby and left her twins in the safety of the tree until she returned.

A banking Barred Owl backlit during the evening sun from last week. I made the most of this opportunity, visiting as often as I could and always finding this bird hanging out in a small field.

My photography success has been lacking in recent months, but was lucky to photograph not one, but two bobcats over the weekend in New Hampshire.

Thanks to a good friend, I was invited to tag along yesterday afternoon for an opportunity of photographing a Bobcat, one of the most elusive mammals in New England. A few different cats have been regularly visiting a yard in New Hampshire the past few days to hunt squirrels at a bird feeder in someone's backyard, and incredibly one showed up on schedule and provided me with my first ever photos of this amazing critter. Ended up with a few nice photos so stay tuned for a few more!
