South Downs / 28th February

A blue sky day on the South Downs. Only a few clouds drifting past.

Photography is all about capturing special moments. And many times those moments can be unexpected. Sometimes people obsess over whether or not they have the best camera, the best lens, etc. But in reality that doesn't matter as much as we think it does. I still got great shots years ago with my Canon 5D3 as I do now with my Sony A7r4. Some of the best camera advice I can give is just to shoot with 2 camera bodies. When I was shooting the Seattle skyline last month, I was on a tripod doing a long exposure with a 10-stop ND filter. But then the ferry came along with the perfect spotlighting. I grabbed my other camera body with the telephoto lens attached and grabbed this shot. Having 2 bodies can often make the difference between nailing the shot or missing it. We just published a great article on our blog by Matthew Saville Baldon on the best cameras for landscape photography. Check it out here:

Last one of the series. A fantastic evening by the sea. Love seeing the conditions change so quickly. Taken at 17:38.
