Focus stack, 27 photos's @ f8 with Zerene Stacker.
Tamron 180 Macro lens @ 1:2 magnification
I made a non portable automatic focus rail with a teensy 3.6 microcontroller a nema 17 .9 step angle motor and DVR8825 driver.
I adapted the motor to a cordless drill planetary gearbox for gear reduction and it works out to with 32 microstepping 7974 step's per mm.
The rail is driven by gt2 6mm belt and is just aluminum rails running on some flange bearings, simple but works surprisingly well even at higher magnifications,
Interface is a 20 x 4 lcd and a remote control, programmed in Arduino.
